Tyne Cot CemeteryThe WWI tour will explore where the armies of many nations served. The Salient Ypres became very much associated with the Commonwealth forces who were in the area nonstop from October 1914 until the end of the war. By the time the last shells fell on Ypres in October 1918, the Salient had claimed 185,000 Commonwealth lives.

  • WWI Tour day: Thursday from April 4, 2013 to November 7, 2013
  • WWI Tour Duration: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (3 1/2 hours each way from Paris to Ypres and back to Paris)
  • Tour stops: Ypres Salient, John McRae's Essex Farm Site, Langemark (German Cemetery), Tyne Cot Cemetery (Passchendaele), Polygon Wood (5th Australian Division Memorial), Menin Gate, Hill 60
  • Child rate is for children 0-10 years of age
  • You need to bring a valid Passport
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Vehicle: Deluxe air-conditioned minibus that seats a maximum of 18 passengers; 
  • Pickup: From your Paris hotel or apartment

This WWI tour will take you to a part of the Western Front where hundreds of thousands of soldiers fought between 1914 and 1918 and a tour to the Belgian Flanders Battlefield and Ypres Salient will be a very memorable and emotionally charged day to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of others.
