Stripped of its furniture and ornaments during the French Revolution, it was abandoned until 1830 with King Louis-Philippe transformed it into a National Museum.

Grand Trianon VersaillesTouring the Palace with your guide, you'll see the Royal Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, the Hall of Battles, and you should be able to enjoy some time strolling in the gardens of Versailles.  Designed by Andre Le Notre, the classic French Garden style was perfected here.

You will then visit the Versailles gardens which are very special have will have the chance to appreciate the estate's beauty with its setting near the Grand Canal.

You'll have a three course lunch (wine included) followed by a visit to the Grand Trianon, a marble palace listed as a UNESCO World Heritage location.  You'll then visit Marie Antoinette's Hamlet, a Norman-style thatched cottage built for the Queen.

The Versailles tour will end with a return to your Paris hotel or apartment.
