Notre Dame Cathedral in ParisThe Paris tour will stop at at Les Invalides. Les Invalides is also called L'Hotel des Invalides because it's a national retirement home and hospital for veterans. Napoleon commissioned the complex and he's buried under the gold dome. His remains are protected by six concentric coffins, built from different materials, including mahogany, ebony, and oak, all one inside the other. The buildings surrounding the dome house the military museum of the Army of France.

You will  stop at Notre Dame Cathedral. This Gothic landmark located on Ile de la Cite has a lot of history associated with it, beginning with its construction in 1163 which lasted until 1345. Its grandiose size and architectural design became the standard for future cathedrals in France, like the cathedrals of Amiens, Chartres and Rheims, and many more.  Notre Dame Cathedral was among the first buildings to use the concept of the flying buttress. This exterior support was necessary to support the outside walls as the popular Gothic style grew ever higher and higher.

The Trocadeo will be another stop for you on this Paris tour. This is the best view to the Eiffel Tower, so you'll want your camera ready. The Chaillot Palace at the Trocadero today houses a number of museums. The gardens below the palace are spectacular and seem to dramatically present the Eiffel Tower before you.

Eiffel Tower ViewYour lunch will be at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant 58 and the vistas of Paris will amaze you because you'll just have seen so much of your Paris view during your morning tour.

Next on your Paris tour is a relaxing Seine River cruise that will give you a third perspective of Paris with many photo opportunities to see Paris landmarks. As you cruise under the bridges, you'll learn about the history of Paris and discover the beautiful city of Paris on either side of the Seine River.

Your Paris tour will end after your Seine River cruise and you will return to your Paris accommodations on your own.
