Champagne Private Tour from Reims CGD

Champagne

Take the TGV to Reims and be met by the driver guide for a private Champagne private tour.

Your driver will greet you when you arrive by train in Reims. If you're staying in the Champagne area, the driver can pick you up at your Reims or Epernay hotel. Your luxury Champagne tour can be customized to suit your wishes, so tell us where you'd like to visit and what you would like to see.

Your private Champagne tour should visit two Champagne houses (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). Select from Moet and Chandon, Veuve Cliquot, and Ruinart or you might choose to enjoy a visit to Bollinger, Krug, Henriot, Pol Roger, Piper & Charles Heidsieck or Perrier-Jouet. Many clients like us to book a tasting in a small private Champagne house for a particularly unique experience.

Champagne BottleThe art of blending the three grapes is the essence of Champagne. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay are the three grapes used for Champagne and how these three wines are blended is specific to each wine maker. During your Champagne tour, you will understand more about the magic of sparkling, the long aging of the bottles in the cellars, lying the bottles horizontally (sur latte) or upside down (sur pointe). You'll learn about the techniques of riddling and disgorgement. You will better understand the differences in the Champagnes and why you prefer one more than another.

For lunch, we can book a table in a little brasserie or bistrot unless you'd prefer a gourmet restaurant. This will determine the time for the afternoon Champagne visit appointment.

The Champagne Country can also includes some special sightseeing and landmarks because we want you to enjoy the entire region. The Cathedral of Reims, St Remi Basilica, Chapel Fujita Museum of the Surrender are several places of interest.

Entrances and meals are not included in the cost for the private tours, but we will be able to let you know the tasting costs.

The Champagne tour is a memorable day (or days) with bubbly Champagne enjoyment in the region of Reims and Epernay!
