Saint Paul de Vence, Grasse, Cannes

This full day tour departs from your hotel with a minimum of two travelers. The day is rich with hill-top villages and panoramic views! The drive will take you through medieval villages of the Loup Valley.

There you'll have time to discover St. Paul de Vence, a most picture perfect town (and after Paris, the second most visited city in France!). It is a medieval village perché/perched village situated between two deep valleys and easy to understand why Renoir, Chagall, and Picasso all lived here once!

Weather permitting, you'll have vistas towards the Alps, valleys, and coastline from Gourdon.

In Grasse, you'll have a guided tour of a Fragonard perfume factory and free time to visit the old town of this world capital of the perfume industry. With its unique microclimate, it produces over two-thirds of France's natural aromas (for perfume and for food flavorings). Grasse's Sister City in the United States is Marblehead, Massachusetts. (An interesting fact is that it was only when scented gloves came into fashion in the 16th century that Grasse started manufacturing perfume.)

There will be a brief stop at Mougins, an old Provencal village which was adopted by Picasso.

Finally, you'll arrive in Cannes to see the old port, La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals, see the wonderful array of designer shops and realize why this is such a popular paparazzi paradise! What fun to experience the beauty of this sparkling city and imagine the glitz of the Cannes Movie Festival held each May!
