Private Loire Valley Day Tours
On this Renaissance day, you'll begin with a pick up at your hotel or apartment and drive to the Loire Valley.

Loire Valley day tour. We can visit the
châteaux of your choosing or we do an itinerary which begins with
Chenonceau. Then we will drive to the town of
Amboise, where you can enjoy lunch on your own.
After
lunch, you may have time to visit the
Clos Lucé, home
of
Leonardo da Vinci who spent his last years in that town. It was to
Amboise that da Vinci came at the invitation of
François I. (Incidentally, when he departed Italy, he tucked
Mona Lisa in his
bag...and thus she's still residing in France...in the Louvre!).
In
the afternoon, your tour will take you to the castle of
Chambord, a
sumptuous Renaissance Palace with a mere 400 rooms!
Since this is a private tour, the itinerary has flexibility, so you might wish to visit other Loire Valley castles of France such as Villandry, Azay le Rideau, Angers, Chinon, Ussé, Valencay, etc.
