Christmas Markets of Alsace and Paris

November 30 to December 7, 2008

Join us for a very warm and wonderful holiday experience as we discover the Christmas markets of France. Beginning with the Alsace region (a quick train ride from Paris), we’ll stay in Strasbourg for three days to experience the magic of this annual tradition - Christmas markets. Colmar and Mulhouse are two quaint villages we’ll visit to discover Christmas novelties, fairyland splendor, tasty Christmas treats, arts and crafts, and amazing shopping!

The markets are a sensory delight of entertainment, festive music, handcrafted ornaments, glittering villages with Christmas lights, and timbered fairy tale buildings that are decorated for Christmas. Oh, and did we mention shopping?!?!!

After taking in the splendors of the Alsace markets, we’re off to Paris for three days of Christmas markets. From Left Bank to Right Bank to the decorated department stores, and to the holiday markets, Paris is shimmering with holiday lights!

You can shop at the Paris Christmas markets, visit the Louvre, stroll the magically lit Champs Elysées, and marvel at the Crèche inside Notre Dame Cathedral. What a way to begin (and finish!) your Christmas shopping!
