Your tour continues to Dinant. Dinant was the enemy city to Bouvigne in ancient times and the spectacular cliffs and the impressive fort dominate the entire valley.

Your tour visits the medieval castle of Veves overlooking the village Celles. In the Veves Castle is a collection of 18th Century furniture and rare porcelain.

Ardennes American CememteryNext on the tour is to explore the Southern Ardennes. You will arrive in Bastogne where the Battle of the Bulge took place.  During WWII, the Germans launched a massive offensive towards the end of the war in the Ardennes Mountains region. During that battle, the Americans suffered  75,000 casualties, but the Germans lost 80,000 to 100,000 and Germany's defeat soon followed.

Please note: If you prefer we can also start exploring the Eastern Ardennes in the afternoon. This tour will cross charming villages, farms, woods and fields, discover local products and artisanship and eventually arrive in Durbuy, the “Smallest City in the World”. The drive back to  Brussels travels through remote villages, castles and amazing landscapes.

The tour ends back in Brussels, the Belgian capital, between 6 and 7 PM.
